That didn't happen.

Pinkerton was held scoreless in the first quarter and scored only once in the third quarter of the Division 1 state final and Bishop Guertin cruised to a 14-11 win.

NASHUA, N.H. | Pinkerton Academy is going back to the New Hampshire Division 1 boys lacrosse final after upending Exeter 10-7 at Stellos Stadium yesterday.

"Today everything connected, we were hustling and playing under control," said Pinkerton tri-captain Bobby Dattilo. "Everybody was on the same page and morale was high, we came out firing."

Valentine's Day for Pinkerton

Anthony Valentine exploded for six goals as No. 3 Pinkerton crushed No. 6 Manchester Central 15-6 in the Division 1 quarterfinals. Nick Currier added a hat trick while Brian Estes scored two goals and Bobby Dattilo dished out five assists for the winners.

Brian Estes and Nick Currier each scored two goals but that wasn't enough for Pinkerton to avoid its first loss of the season. Longmeadow (Mass.) scored four times in the third period to hand the Astros a 13-7 loss. Jeff Guilherme had three assists in the loss.
