Methuen third in EMass

WRENTHAM — Methuen’s boys cross country team has been up and down in Eastern Mass. championship races in the past, but Saturday the Rangers were up.

Way up.

In a rugged Division 1 field, the Rangers finished third with 85 points, just four behind Cambridge and five behind MVC foe Lowell.

Rangers take 3rd at All-States

BOSTON — Methuen’s boys made the most of their first trip to the Division 1 All-State meet in four years with a superb performance at Franklin Park Saturday.

Saving its best performance of the season to last, the Rangers finished third with 127 points, trailing behind just MVC foe Lowell (97) and Cambridge (107).

Andover's depth wins out

Haverhill's Chris White (17:53) won the meet individually but Andover's Alex Bensley (18:13), Robert Pineault (18:18), Hamza Naveed (18:34) and Sami Aruri (18:38) finished in the next four places to lead the Golden Warriors to victory in boys cross country.
