For the second straight year, Pinkerton’s Morgan Sansing took fifth at the girls Meet of Champions race to help pace the Astros to a New England qualifying spot, in fifth as a team.
Sansing finished the course in 18:25.5, which was 11 seconds faster than last year. She was backed up by Ariel Vaillancourt, who was 10th in 18:48.2 — almost exactly the same time she ran last year.

Pinkerton junior Morgan Sansing ran an excellent 18:40.5 in the Division 1 girls meet but had to settle for second behind Exeter's Shannon Murdock, who was clocked in 18:32.6.

Pinkerton junior Morgan Sansing hooked up in another duel with Coe-Brown's Hannah Parker Saturday, this time at the Wickham Park (Conn.) Invitational. Parker came on top this time, winning in 18:56, three seconds faster than the runner-up Sansing. Coe-Brown easily won the team title, with the Astros placing sixth.
