MANCHESTER — In two seasons on the varsity team, Londonderry senior Frank Wynters had never lit the lamp for a goal.

So when he jumped into the arms of a teammate to celebrate his second goal of the biggest victory in Londonderry hockey history, the exuberance was more than deserved.

Brett Evangelista, Eric Coburn, Curtis Harper and Nick Donnelley each scored to lead third-seeded Londonderry hockey 4-3 over sixth-seeded Bishop Guertin in the quarterfinals of the Division 1 tournament. 

 Jason Parker scored twice as Londonderry's hockey team continued its fine season (16-3) with a 3-0 victory over Nashua North.

Curtis Harper had three goals and an assist and Eric Coburn had a goal and three assists as Londonderry's hockey team improved to 13-3 overall with a 4-3 victory over Pinkerton. 

Trailing by a pair of goals with two minutes to go in the third period, Londonderry pulled its goalie and with the extra attacker on the ice Cooper Roy and Jason Parker each scored to send the game into overtime. Colby Austin then added the OT winner, beating the goalie glove side with a slap shot from the blue line, to give the Lancers a 7-6 victory over St. Thomas.

Londonderry's hockey team won its ninth straight, clipping Concord 6-2. Mike Donlan and Lucas Poulin had two goals apiece for the Lancers, who improved to 10-3 overall, and Eric Coburn chipped in with a goal and three assists.

Londonderry, with high scoring Curtis Harper out, rallied to defeat Manchester Central 3-2. Freshman Patrick Maloney filled in for Harper and had an assist and Cooper Roy scored twice as the Lancers improved to 9-3.

Seniors Mike Donlan, Curtis Harper and Erc Coburn combined for six goals and five assists as Londonderry (8-3) defeated Bishop Guertin 7-5. Donlan recorded his first hat trick.

Curtis Harper scored four goals and Eric Coburn added five assists as Londonderry hammered Bishop Brady 8-1.

Brett Evangelista scored the go-ahead goal late in the second, and Mitchell Schirch made it stand up with 16 saves as Londonderry edged Manchester Memorial 3-2.
