Kaitlyn Arsenault threw her second straight shutout as Salem defeated Spaulding 3-0 to advance to the Division 1 semifinals Wednesday against Concord. Arsenault threw a two-hitter, striking out five, and didn't walk a batter. Amanda Bickford was 2 for 3 and scored a run for the Blue Devils (16-4).

Kaitlyn Arsenault limited Exeter to just a fourth-inning single as Salem rolled to a 7-0 win in the first round of the Division 1 tourey. She didn't walk a batter and fanned six. Sam Cloutier had three hits and three RBIs and played flawlessly at short. Amanda Bickford added two hits and two runs.

Seniors Kaitlyn Arsenault (5-inning, 1-hitter, a leadoff double), Rachel Morrissey (3 hits, 2 RBIs) and Hannah Latham (2 hits, 3 RBIs) starred on Senior Day as Salem beat North 13-0 in five innings.

Salem blitzes Alvirne 20-4. Highlights: Brittany Wallace 5 for 5 with 3 RBIs, Hannah Latham bases-clearing triple, Amanda Bickford 3 hits and 4 RBIs.

Salem's softball team scored four runs in the bottom of the seventhand had two runners still on base before falling to Spaulding 5-4.New leadoff batter Amanda Bickford had two hits, scored a run and had an RBI for the Blue Devils (10-3).

Salem second baseman Brianna Rastello ripped three hits, scored two runs, drove in three and played outstanding defense as the Blue Devils clipped Merrimack 7-4.

In her first varsity at-bat, Salem freshman Holly Peterson stroked a two-run single with two outs in the sixth for what proved to be the winning runs  in a 7-4 victory over Londonderry.

Salem sophomore Rachel Towler got her first varsity start and win in a 7-1 victory over Keene, giving up just three hits and one earned runs in five innings. Brirttany Wallace had two hits and two RBIs for the Blue Devils (7-1).

Kaitlyn Arsenault threw a two-hitter and Salem banged out 13 hits in a 6-1 victory over Pinkerton.

Salem's softball team lost its first regular season game in two years and second in three years, 5-2 to undefeated Dover. Brenna Morrissey had two hits for the Blue Devils (5-1).
