With the meet coming down to the last match of the day, Lawrence's Chen Chen outlasted Methuen's Luis Martinez in a two-hour 7-6, 6-4 victory to give the Lancers a 3-2 win.

It came down to a super tie-breaker in the final match, which was first doubles. Emmy Garcia and Nichole Rodriguez, who had trailed in the second set 5-2 pulled it out to give Lawrence tennis a 3-2 win over Lowell.

But the senior played at No. 2 singles yesterday won 6-3, 6-0 in the decisive match yesterday to help the Raiders 3-2 over Lawrence.
