Chrissy Scionti threw a nifty two-hitter and gave up only one earned run, but Methuen's bats were silent in a 2-0 first-round tournament loss to Newtion North.

Amanda Conway went 4 for 4 in the leadoff spot, and Nina Correia was 3 for 3 as Methuen pounded Lowell with 17 hits in a five-inning, 12-0, shutout.

Freshman Kat LeFebre hit her fifth home run of the season as Methuen clipped Billerica 9-5. Heather McLaughlin was 2 for 2 and scored three runs for the Rangers (11-5).

Central Catholic pitcher Olivia Antczak wasn't at the top of her game offensively or defensively, but she delivered in the clutch with a two-out RBI single in the bottom of the ninth for an 8-7 win over Methuen. Leslie Moore had a solo homer, three hits and three RBIs for the Raiders and Madison Borrelli was 3 for 4 and scored twice. Kat LeFebre had a grand slam for the Rangers.

Methuen senior Chrissy Scionti only gave up one run in nine innings, but Dracut ace Lauren Ramirez was even better, striking out 16 with a three-hitter in a 1-0 victory for the Middies.

Methuen's softball team qualified for the tournament for the 13th year after whipping Tewksbury 9-1. Nina Correia had tqwo hits, two RBIs and scored twice to spark the Rangers (10-3) and Chrissy Scionti shut the door on the Redmen.

The last three hitters in Methuen's softball lineup were on fire in a 9-2 victory over Billerica. Sophomore Meghan Murphy had three hits including a pair of triples, scoring three runs with an RBI. Junior Amanda Lemire added two hits, scoring three times and driving in one while sophomore Heather McLaughlin had a pair of safeties.

Karoline Leavitt had three hits, including a grand slam in the six-run sixth, drove in five runs and scored three times as Central Cathloic clipped Methuen 12-6.

Chrissy Scionti surrendered just four hits to lead Methuen 5-1 over one of the MVC's better hitting teams, Tewksbury. The Rangers improved to 7-1. 

Methuen clipped Andover 7-2 with the bottom of the order doing the bulk of the damage. No. 9 hitter Kayleigh Forgetta had three hits and three RBIs and No. 8 batter Meghan Murphy had a pair of hits and scored twice.
