Javier Morales blasted a three-run homer in the fourth to spark a rally and cut Lawrence's deficit in half, but the No. 9 Lancers fell to No. 8 Chelmsford in the Division 1 North first round. Samuel Quiroz came on in relief and allowed just a single run over five innings, striking out three, to keep Lawrence in the ballgame.

In his first varsity start, Lawrence sophomore Brahiam Ortega allowed just three hits to pick up his first victory in a 5-0 win over Tyngsboro.

Jose Abreu doubled to score two runs, then he came around on a single by Elvis Batista to provide all of Lawrence's offense in a 3-1 victory over Billerica. Joan Vargas struck out nine in a complete-game victory to lock down the win.

Haverhill sophomore Josh Goldstein (4-hitter, 2Ks) outdueled Lawrence junior Joan Vargas (4-hitters. 3 Ks) in a 2-1 win. Matt Burns plated a run on a triple in the fourth then scored the game-winner on a sac fly by Ryan Perez.

After allowing his only hit of the game in the sixth, Lawrence's Wilmer Gomez finished off his gem in style by striking out the side in the seventh to give him 15 Ks for the day, locking down a complete-game one-hitter and an 11-0 Lancers win.

Lawrence leadoff batter Elvis Peralta and No. 2 batter Jose Cedano combined for seven hits and scored seven runs as the Lancers whipped Westford 10-2. Elvis Batista had a two-run homer in Lawrence's four-run first inning. 

Jake DiSalvo went the distance, allowing a five-run Lawrence uprising in the second and and nothing else, powering North Andover past the Lancers, 7-5. Josh Brown and  Myles Couyoumjian had two hits apiece for the Knights. Dan Rivet drove in a pair of runs.

Elvis Peralta was 4 for 4, smashing two doubles and a triple and missing the "cycle" by about a foot as Lawrence ripped Malden 12-1. Samuel Quirox got the win, striking out nine and allowing just three hits over five innings.

Joan Vargas came on to pitch in relief in the third, and delivered five innings of shutout, two-hit ball as Lawrence edged Lowell 4-2. Jose Abreu gave the Lancers the lead to stay with a two-run double.
