Courtney Sweeney was in top form yesterday and that was good news for the Windham field hockey team, which advanced to the Division 2 semifinals with a 2-1 victory over Souhegan. Souhegan led 1-0 at halftime but Sweeney scored 30 seconds into the second half and then scored the game-winner with two minutes remaining, giving her a 25 goals for the year. The Jaguars will face St. Thomas Wednesday in Exeter.

Sophomore Justine Levesque's impressive drive to the net 15 minutes into the second half yielded the game's only goal as Windham beat upset-minded Portsmouth, 1-0. Midfielder Alexa Psareas impressed on both ends of the field, making a couple key saves on the defensive end and driving the ball effectively to start the offense.

In its most complete team effort of the young season, Windham pulled together to defeat a tough Oyster River squad in field hockey, 5-1. Nicole Croteau and Courtney Sweeney scored twice apiece for Windham.

Sophomore Courtney Sweeny took a stick to the head early in the game, sat out 10 minutes, then came back with a vengeance. Sweeny netted four goals in Windham field hockey's 5-0 win over Brady.
