Londonderry had just one hit through four innings but pinch-hitters Sara Gaudet and Sirena Paiva had clutch hits to spark an 11-hit, 10-run onslaught in the final two innings. Londonderry's softball team locked up a second seed in the Division 1 tournament with an impressive 5-2 victory over Merrimack. Little-used Katherine Dzenis was 3 for 3 with two doubles and a triple and three RBIs to lead the way amd Dayna Barton filled in at catcher nicely, going 2 for 3 with an RBI. Usual catcher Cara Colotti suffered a concussion last week and may be lost for the season.

A hip injury has kept Londonderry senior Lindsey Bolduc off the field defensively, but she continues to power the ball as the designated hitter. In yesterday's 8-2 victory over Concord, she was 3 for 4 and slugged her seventh home run in nine games. Cara Colatti was also 3 for 4 for the Lancers (8-1) and Kelsey Enright, who is filling in for Bolduc at shortstop, was 2 for 3 with two RBIs.
