Lennon brings home gold

Sophomore Kelly Lennon, who hadn't been in the pool since last Thursday due to a respiratory infection, showed no rust as she was a double-winner at the MVC Division 2 meet. Lennon led Methuen to a third-place finish. Abby Tremblay, a senior captain, was a mainstay in the relays.

Captains Courageous

Methuen senior quad-captains Alli Pisani, Allie Hawkes, Colleen Heggarty and Abby Tremblay won the 400 freestyle relay in 4:45.77. It was a memorable accomplishment since it was the last regular season meet of their careers and the first time they ever swam in the same relay. Another highlight in the Rangers' 103-72 win over St. Peter Marian was Jillian Tascherau set a personal best in winning the 200 freestyle.

Swimming depth


Methuen only won five events outright, but the Rangers went 2-3-4 in three events in a 98-86 swimming victory over Lowell. Kelly Lennon won two events and was on the winning 400 freestyle relay for the Rangers (5-5).

Brodericks dominate

Sarah and Meaghan Broderick both swam excellent to help Haverhill defeat Methuen in swimming. 

Sarah won the 50 freestyle (24.43) and the 100 freestyle (54.07). Meaghan won the 100 breastroke (1:23.45). The two also helped the 200 medley relay team and the 200 freestyle relay team earn victories.

Methuen's two captains were the driving forces in a swimming victory over St. Peter Marian. Alli Pisani was a part of two winning relays for the Rangers while Abby Tremblay won the 200 and 500 freestyle and was part of the last winning relay along with Pisani.

The non-related Arsenaults led the way as Methuen whipped Notre Dame of Tyngsboro. Alyson won the 200 IM and 500 freestyle and Lauren captured the 100 butterfly and they both swam on the winning 400 free relay.

Katie Leahy, a junior on the Methuen girls swim team, contributed to her team's victory, earning the first win of her varsity career in the 100 meter breastroke. Katie has swam with the team since her freshman year.

Moore, Andover cruise past Methuen

Rachel Moore won the 50 freestyle (24.95) and the 100 butterfly (59.7) as Andover swept all events in a 101-76 win over Methuen. Ashlee Korsberg won the 200 IM (2:11.99) and was part of the winning 200 freestyle relay.
