North Reading baseball won 12-6 over Amesbury to improve to 9-4 in the CAL and gain a share of the league title with Newburyport. It is North Reading's ninth title in the past 11 years. 

Pentucket junior Alex Ministieri improved to 3-0, fanning 12 Amesbury batters in a complete-game three-hitter. Pentucket rolled 9-3 and all three runs were unearned.

Mike Weisman smashed a grand slam and Brandon Walsh bashed a two-run homer to lead North Andover to an 11-3 victory over Amesbury.

Pentucket played smart baseball — no errors defensively, strikes from pitchers Adam Newell and Corey McNamara, brainy baserunning and clutch hitting. It all added up to a 6-2 victory over Amesbury. McNamara again proved his versatility on the hill as he struck out the side in the seventh inning after going 2 for 2 offensively. Junior Jon Simard delivered the game's big blow, a two-out, two-run single in the fifth inning to get the Sachems some separation.
