With help from Josh Gallagher and Mike Kelleher, Nick Leonard whistled a second-period shot over the Acton-Boxboro goalie's catching glove to register his 100th career point in Central Catholic's 4-2 victory. The victory garnered the Raiders a share of the MVC/DCL Division 1 title with Billerica.

TEWKSBURY — Andover’s Liam Centrella had just a spit second to watch the puck enter the net before being mugged on the boards by his teammates.

LAWRENCE — As the final horn sounded, Central Catholic goalie Kyle Williams leaned back onto the net and looked up at the ceiling, like his teammates breathing a sigh of relief.

“We didn’t want to let the puck back into the zone another time,” said Raiders center Tommy Evangelista. “We got the puck back into their zone and played the rest from there.”

Central Catholic is on a 5-game winning streak after starting the season 1-3 after last night's 3-1 win over Arlington. Mike Kelleher had two goals and Tommy Evangelista scored one. LAWRENCE — During Central Catholic’s three-game losing skid early in the season, Raiders star Tommy Evangelista was stuck watching helplessly from the scoring table.

“In my second shift against Austin Prep I injured the joint in my shoulder,” said the 2010 Eagle-Tribune All-Star. “I had to miss three games, and it killed me having to do the scoring clock and watching my team. But I think we are back in the swing of things now.”
