1.St. John's Prep (12-5-3): Seven straight wins to close out the regular season locked up not only a Super 8 berth for the Eagles, but potentially a No. 2 or 3 seed (thus, they avoid a potential showdown with Catholic Memorial until at least the semifinals). Will be almost two weeks between their last regular season game and first postseason contest, however.
Last Week: 1

2.Andover (13-3-4): Golden Warriors missed out on the MVC/DCL Division 1 title with a loss to Westford Academy, which dealt Andover its only two losses in Massachusetts, on the final day of the season. But the Warriors still enter the tourney having gone unbeaten in 14 of their last 15 games.
Last Week: 2

3.Gloucester (14-4-2): Northeastern Conference Large champions picked a great time to pick it back up, winning their last four regular season games by a combined score of 23-6. The return of arguably their best all-around player, Josh Salah, in time for the state tournament could mean even better times are on the horizon.
Last Week: 3

4.Peabody (15-5-0): Rebounding from the sting of falling at home to Gloucester with the conference title on the line, the Tanners rebounded to beat both Revere on the road and Bishop Fenwick in their annual Carlin Cup showdown for city bragging rights. Had the most victories of any team on the North Shore this winter.
Last Week: 4

5.Danvers (11-6-2): Disappointing shutout loss at home to end their Northeastern Conference season was quelled somewhat by a bounce-back performance three nights later against Haverhill. Showing the ability to shake off poor performances, the Falcons have not lost back-to-back games all season.
Last Week: 5

6.Timberlane (14-4-1): After their first two-game losing streak since December, the Owls bounced back to pound Oyster River, which beat them in the Christmas tourney, 5-1 thanks to two goals from Zach Fox.
Last Week: 7

7.Salem, N.H. (14-6-0): Josh Frahm's hat trick broke the Blue Devils out of a two-game skid with a 5-1 win over St. Thomas, who had beaten them two games earlier. Fellow first-liners Ryan Desroches and Joel Vastl each added a goal.
Last Week: 8

8.Newburyport (13-6-1): Seven straight wins to end the regular season make the Clippers one of the hottest teams not only in Division 2, but in all of Eastern Mass. hockey. Can they keep it rolling once the posteason starts? We'll soon find out. One thing's for sure; no one wants a first-round game against this squad.
Last Week: 10

9.Swampscott (12-4-4): Raise your hand if, at the beginning of the season, you had the Big Blue not only breaking an 11-year postseason appearance drought, but also winning their first-ever Northeastern Conference title of any kind (the NEC Small). Don't see too many hands out there.
Last Week: 9

10.Masconomet (13-7-0): When they were struggling just to get to .500, you wondered if the defending Cape Ann League champions would even qualify this season. But they turned on the jets halfway through the season and won 9 of their final 12 games, including the final three, to finish in a third place tie in the CAL.
Last Week: 11

11.Bishop Fenwick (12-7-1): A second place showing in the Catholic Central League Division 2 was a fine showing for the Crusaders this season, who will rely on scorers Pat Doliber, Mark Sparaco, Dale Crispin, Jordan Mizioch, John Luti & Co. when the state tournament begins next week.
Last Week: 12

12.North Andover (9-9-1): Ryan Sifferlen notched a hat trick and had an assist to give him an area-best 48 points for the season as the Scarlet Knights tied North Reading 4-4.
Last Week: honorable mention
