Troy Thibodeau, Danvers: Junior centerman scored a career-high four goals in Falcons' 7-1 thrashing of Lynn, earning them their 20th straight trip to the postseason.

James Noftle, Peabody: A winger, the senior captain had two goals and two assists for the week, scoring both of his goals in a crucial 4-2 victory over Northeastern Conference rival Danvers.

Anders Gundersen, Marblehead: Emerging sophomore forward had a huge night against Lynn, scoring his first high school hat trick and adding two assists in a 7-2 drubbing.

C.J. Cacciatore, Beverly: Sophomore netminder turned in his first shutout of the season, stopping all 15 shots he faced in a scoreless tie at Winthrop.

Dan Haugh, St. John's Prep: Senior center had five helpers on the week, pacing the Eagles to a pair of home wins over Arlington Catholic (3-1) and Austin Prep (7-2).

Andrew Bates, Marblehead: Finished the week with three goals and an assist, including the game-winner with just a minute to play in Headers' 2-1 upset of Bishop Fenwick.

Pat Doliber, Bishop Fenwick: Came back from an injury earlier in the week to score the game-winning goal with two minutes to play in a 2-1 win at Marian, then added two goals and two assists in a 7-4 triumph over Shawsheen two nights later.

Christian Cowles, St. John's Prep: In what is becoming a weekly ritual, the Eagles' leading scorer had four goals and an assist in a pair of victories.

John Hyslip, Andover: Hyslip, who scored his 100th career points two weeks ago, has hit his best stretch of the season. The senior has scored five goals in his last two games, his first hat trick of the season against Billerica and two goals against Acton-Boxboro, both wins.

Justin Boraczek, Haverhill: In his first career varsity start, he made 24 saves to give the Hillies their third win of the season, a 5-2 upset over Masconomet. He had appeared in two varsity games a season ago without a start.

Kevin Kent, Pinkerton: The freshman goalie has performed while splitting time. He turned in his best effort of the season on Saturday when he made 33 stops as the Astros bested Manchester Memorial, 3-2.

Andrew Barba, Pentucket-Georgetown: Barba has been the bright light in an otherwise difficult season for the Sachems. And he finished it in style as he tallied a hat trick in a 3-1 victory over Amesbury. The Georgetown resident finished with a team-high 11 goals.

Ross Ferullo, Timberlane: Yet another player comes out of nowhere to drive the streaking Owls. After going scoreless for 12 games, he scored two goals against Merrimack, and two more in the win over Goffstown.

Nate Daniels, Salem, MA: Big senior right wing had his best game of the season, scoring twice and assisting on two other goals as the Witches put a curse on Nashoba Tech, 6-1.

why is it that we only read about the players that score? Why isn't there anything ever written about the others on team that helped played well, helped score the goals or win the games???
