Cailey Simard won two events and was the all-around winner as Haverhill routed Lowell in gymnastics in its season opener, 126.4-91.4. Maeve Hess was first in valut and the all-around runner-up.

Meg Kelly won two events and the all-around to pace Central Catholic's gymnasts to a 137.3-136.25 victory over Methuen. Deirdre Donovan was first in the floor and the all-around runner-up for the Raiders.Methuen did defeat Andover, however, to become the MVC small school champs with a 6-2 record.

Kasey Burke swept every event and North Andover scored a school-record 138.15 points to beat Andover.

Despite falling to a talented Chelmsford/Tyngsboro/Billerica team, there was still a lot for the Haverhill gymnastics team to be proud of. The Hillies' score of 138.75 was by far their best of the season, Maren Eramo set a new personal-best in the all-around with a 37.25 and others like Reardon Suazo (9.1 on vault) also scored personal bests.

Meagan Kelly won three events and was the all-around winner as Central Catholic clipped Dracut.

Maren Eramo won two events and the all-around as Haverhill rallied past Central Catholic 136.5-135.75. Cailey Simard also had a big day for the Hillies, who are now 4-2. 

Colby Wong rolled a 181 and 169 and Matt Gagnon returned with a 156 and 192 to lead Pinkerton (1,799 points) bowling to wins over Spaulding (1,706) and first place Goffstown (1,688). Harry Michaud added a 174 and 200 for the winners.

Maren Eramo won the vault (9.2), bars (9.4), beam (9.4) and all-around (36.4) as Haverhill topped Andover 137.15-134.8. Kayleigh Durant added a victory in the floor exercise (8.85) for the Hillies, who set a team record for points in a meet, according to coach Melanie Tarbox.

Kasey Burke had a fantastic day for the North Andover gymnastics team, winning every event with highs in the bars (9.6), vault (9.55) and beam (9.3) to win the all-around (37.05). But Haverhill squeaked out a 132.7-131.85 win, thanks in large part to the efforts of Maren Eramo, who placed second in every event besides the floor.

Finleigh Simonds placed fourth in the freshman mile (5:18.13) to highlight Haverhill's performance at the MSTCA Holiday Challenge. The boys and girls 4x800 each placed fifth, and Hayden Makarow was sixth in the 300 (36.74).

Pinkerton's gymnastics team opened its season with an easy first place in a 9-team meet. Sophia Viger was first in the bars and the beam and was the all-around champ and Hana Phaneuf was third in all-around.

Methuen had a little more depth and Adiamos Ramos won two events as the Rangers edged Haverhill in a season-opening gymnastics meet. Maren Eramo was first in the bars and the all-around winner for the Hillies.

Paige Bukowski won three individual events and was the all-around winner with a fine score of 37.1 to lead Andover to a 139.6-137.8 victory over Central Catholic and the regular season MVC large school title with anoverall record of 7-1. Maddy Francis was second in all-around for the Warriors. The MVC league meet will be Thursday at A2 gymnastics in Salem. 

The Haverhill gymnastics team completed an undefeated regular season (8-0) and won the MVC regular season title with a 135.3-128.05 win over Methuen. Maren Eramo put up an impressive 36.15 to win the all-around, highlighted by a 9.45 in the vault.

Meaghan Kelley won the beam (9.35), tied for first in the bars and took the all-around (34.8) to help Central Catholic beat Methuen (134.5-130.1) and Dracut (134.5-122.75). Raider Dylan Hale won the vault and tied Kelley in the bars. The Rangers' Adiamis Ramos won the floor exercise and was second in the all-around.
