Pentucket's girls cross country team finished an impressive third at the Bob McIntyre Invitational Friday night. Phoeve Rubio led the way, finishing 12th in 18:58.8, while Kaylie Dalgar came in 19th at 19:17.4.

The Haverhill girls swept Dracut and Tewksbury as Finleigh Simonds (20:26, 3.1 miles), Brynne LeCours and Lauren Downer went 1-2-4. The Hillie boys earned a split as Andreas Burgess and Ricardo Galloway went 2-3.

Methuen's Miana Caraballo ran away with it (19:30.6, 3.1 miles) but North Andover cruised in the meet with Leyla Kvaternik, Luna Prochazkova, Nicole Kroon and Leigha Leavitt taking the next four places.

Led by sophomore Tess Silva in second, Pinkerton's girls cross country team took places 2-6 and rolled past Londonderry 20-40 in the Mack Plaque matchup.

Pentucket's girls cross country team showed its strength with a 15-47 wipeout of Lynnfield. Kaylie Dalgar nipped teammate Phoebe Rubio for top honors with a 19:45 for 3 miles.

Methuen senior Miana Caraballo won by 78 seconds on home course (personal best 17:53, 2.86 miles) in season opening win over Chelmsford. Emily Charest took third and Alyssa Rosano fourth.

Finleigh Simonds was the winner (19:36, 2.89 miles), Lauren Downer took third and Brynne LeCours was fourth to power Haverhill in a season-opening 25-30 win over Lowell.

Methuen's Miana Caraballo completed a perfect dual meet season but North Andover girls cross country rolled to the 20-41 team win. Caraballo ran a scorching 17:58.5 at her 2.8 mile home course. The Knights took the next five spots led by Leyla Kvaternik (19:09.5) and Courtney Dalke (19:40.2).

NASHUA — Windham placed third and Sanborn fifth at the 45th annual boys Meet of Champions race Saturday at Mines Falls Park in Nashua (3.11 miles). 

Miana Caraballo was the overall winner (16:12.7, 2.7 miles) and Alyssa Rosano placed fifth overall. It wasn't quite enough as Billerica girls cross country beat Methuen 24-31.

Haverhill's girls cross country team used a 3-4-5 finish by Finleigh Simonds, Ariann LeCours and Ivy Ackerman to edge Andover 27-32. Molly Kiley and Leila Boudries had fine races for Andover while taking the top two spots. 

Race winner Silan Gitterman, Taryn Fox and Kerry Gannon went 1-2-3 and Timberlane girls cross country posted the easy win over Trinity.

Haverhill took the first nine spots to whip Dracut. The first four for the Brown and Gold were Finleigh Simonds (19:22, 2.9 miles), Ariann LeCours, Brynne LeCours and Ivy Ackerman.

North Andover dumped Andover, 16-45. Freshman Gabby Harty ran a great race hanging with the Knights' Big 3: Courtney Dalke, Leyla Kvaternik, and Abby Mastromonaco.

The LeCours sisters, Ariann and Brynne, had big meets and Finleigh Simonds posted another win as Haverhill cruised to the 19-40 win over Central Catholic. Lily Angluin took second overall for the Raiders.
