Andrew Osborne racked up 11 kills and Mike Emmons dished out 29 assists as Andover rolled to a 25-20, 25-16, 25-8 victory over Methuen. Gary Hinds also chipped in eight service points and two kills to help the Golden Warriors improve to 5-0.

Ramon Heredia racked up 14 kills, 10 service points and four aces to help Lawrence defeat Millis, 25-17, 25-23, 18-25, 25-21. Ylvin Hiraldo had 34 assists and Tyler Santacroce made seven blocks. Libero Max Heuk had a great game defensively.

Andover volleyball crushed Billerica 25-4, 25-8, 25-17 to remain perfect at 4-0. Andrew Osborne led the way with eight kills, Mike Emmons dished out 22 assists, and Andrew Kanell was strong at the net with seven blocks.

Haverhill volleyball picked up its first win of the season as the Hillies downed Dracut, 25-14, 25-22, 25-10. Brett Pettis led the way with 12 kills and four aces, and Kyle Carter chipped in 25 assists and five kills of his own.

Matt Washburn had a big game for Andover in its five-game win over Newton South. In spite of trailing 14-11 at one point in the decisive game, the Warriors stormed back to win 17-15. Washburn racked up 20 kills and 10 blocks while Mike Emmons dished out 32 assists. Tommy Busta played great defense in his first action of the season (he had been sidelined with a shoulder injury), as did Mike Todisco.

After a tough season-opening loss to St. John's Prep, Methuen returned to form to down Dracut, 25-14, 25-14, 25-11. Mark Dougherty racked up 28 assists and Steven Kupiec chipped in 14 kills and 12 service points.

Haverhill pushed Chelmsford to the limit on Wednesday before losing the final game 17-15, but the Hillies couldn't muster the same fight for Lawrence, which won 25-14, 25-17, 25-19. Ramon Heredia led the way with 12 kills and Yordano Osoria racked up 15 service points (three kills).
