Timberlane boys volleyball took over possession of second place with a 3-0 win over Pinkerton. Conor Dube, Matt Dionne and Max Laroche led the way.

The Salem boys volleyball team won its 99th straight match since 2004, rolling past Londonderry in three games (25-14, 25-16, 25-17) to move to 6-0 on the year. The Blue Devils haven't lost an individual game all year.

Salem's boys volleyball team (5-0) won its 98th straight match, 25-8, 25-18, 25-12 over Keene. Joe Gallant led in kills with 11, Kyle Ruffen had eight blocks and C.J. DeMarco had four aces among 12 service points.

In an early battle of unbeatens, Salem survived a mid-match challenge from Timberlane to prevail, 25-15, 25-21, 25-11.

Timberlane's Conner Dude paced the team with 46 Assists. Terry Matatall had 18 kills, Tim Anderson 17 Kills and Matt Dionne had 12 kills in a good win for Timberlane as they improve to 2-0.

Ylvin Hiraldo notched a team-best 25 assists and 10 service points as No. 7 Lawrence bested No. 3 Latin Academy 25-24, 25-19, 25-20 in the quarterfinals of the North tournament. Ramon Heredia added 12 kills for the Lancers, who travel to face Andover on Saturday, with the time depending on the Andover baseball game.
