Read More »Sweeping four of the field events allowed Central Catholic's girls track team to take a commanding 120-25 victory over Methuen in the season opener for both squads. Tori Catanzano (pole vault and triple jump) and Katie Lafrance (100 and 400 hurdles) were double winners for the Raiders. Sisters Lanie, a freshman, and junior Megan Jowett each had a first and a second place finish in the victory. The Rangers were led by Anne Bajor, who won the mile and was part of the victorious 4x400 relay.

Brianna Lee had a pair of victories for the Scarlet Knights, besting the field in the shot put (27-0) and the discus (67-11). Good opening performances also came from Alison Pickett, who tied a personal best in the pole vault, Lauren Small in the high jump and Julia Baroutsos in the long jump.
