Sarah Pearsall (shot put and discus), Andi Attenasio (high jump and 4x400 relay), Alanna Poretta (mile and 4x400) and April O'Brien (800 and 4x400) all registered a pair of first-place finishes.

The Amesbury girls were unable to score a win in a tough duel meet against North Andover (119-26) and Ipswich (89.5-53.5) yesterday. Danielle Sylvester (2 mile; 13:33), Alyssa Harrison (high jump; 5'0"), Rebecca Crochiere (800 - 2:32; 400 hurdles - 69.5) and Kristin Kozacka (discus; 69' 9.5") all competed well and earned first place finishes.

With 11 different individual winners, North Andover had a successful start to its season, blowing past Wilmington, 107-38. Brianna Lee had a pair of victories for the Scarlet Knights, besting the field in the shot put (27-0) and the discus (67-11). Good opening performances also came from Alison Pickett, who tied a personal best in the pole vault, Lauren Small in the high jump and Julia Baroutsos in the long jump.
