Clint Perry finished first in the 300 hurdles to help Londonderry to a second place finish at the Nashua North Invitational. The Lancers finished with 60 points and Concord finished first with 75 points. Matt Dionne finished first in the high jump in at 6-2 and Timberlane finished eighth with 23 points. Salem finished tied for 11th. Max Jacques won the long jump with a leap of 21-3.5.

Versatile Greg MacArthur won the mile and ran on the winning 4x200 team to lead North Andover at the Sheldon Classic. Jim Quinlan (800, 4x200) was another double winner. Pentucket was led by be Dan Greene, who won the 200 in a personal best 22.7, and C.J. Lataille, who won the long jump and placed in three events.

Three Phillips athletes did a lot of damage in its second-place finish at a quad meet versus rival Phillips Exeter, St. Paul's and Milton. Jack Ward (shot put and discus), Brendon Rankowitz (javelin and 100), Malcolm Mason-Rodriguez (long jump and triple jump) and Patrick Wolber (800 and 1,500) racked up points with two victories apiece.

Mike McNaughton pulled off a nice distance double victory (800 and 2-mile) and Alex Mayhew was first in three events (triple jump, 100 and 200) as Haverhill ran past Dracut, 88-57.

Nick Kingswood (100 and 400 hurdles), Greg MacArthur (javelin and 2-mile), Max Almono (triple jump and 200) and John Manteiga (long jump and 100) were all double winners in North Andover's easy track victory over Lynnfield.

With Matt Dionne (wins in the long jump, triple jump and a personal best 6-4 in the high jump) commanding field events and Gunnar Ericsson (100, 110 hurdles and 400 victories) tearing up the track, Timberlane beat Manchester West and Somersworth in a tri-meet.

HAVERHILL — On a day that left most participants wishing it was still the indoor season, Central Catholic got a couple big wins and enough placers to win the 34th annual John Ottaviani Haverhill Invitational yesterday afternoon.

John Manteiga 21-1 3/4;

second in the triple (38-5)

third in the 100  meters (11.7)

Fortune Kalala posted a personal best 41-5 1/2 in the triple jump and Alex Dehullu did the same in the high hurdles (15.5) to help Central Catholic defeat Chelmsford, 95-50.

Pinkerton won the final relay to pull out a come-from-behind 73-72 win over Concord. Emmitt Smith was a triple-winner for the Astros.

Paul Buccos won the triple jump, 100 and ran on the winning 4x100 relay as Whittier downed Greater Lawrence 80-56.

Timberlane's boys were just as dominant against Spaulding as Matt Dionne (javelin and high jump) and Aidan Kimball (1,600 and 3,200) were double winners.

Returning from long-term concussion issues, C.J. Lataille was victorious in the long jump as part of Pentucket's tri-meet split. Lataille leapt 19-3, qualifying for the CAL Meet as the Sachems defeated Ipswich and lost a close verdict to Newburyport.

North Andover needed to go one-two in the 200 and win the 400 relay to rally past Triton in boys track yesterday and the Knights did just that, prevailing 73-72. Eric Riedel won the 200 in 24.1 with long jump winner John Manteiga in second and the foursome of Kyle Quinn, David Rose, 400 winner Max Almano and Brendan Varney closed it out in the relay.Tim Coppa was first in the mile and runner-up to Alex Sullivan in the 2-mile.

John Braga finished first in the 400 hurdles (63.3). second in the 400 (59.5) and third in the long jump (18-3), but it wasn't enough for North Reading who came up on the short end of a 76-69 decision to Ipswich. Matt Okscin had fwo first place finishes -one in the 200 (25.2) and the other in the 400 (54.5). He also finished second in the long jump (18-11) and third in the high jump (5-2).
