It was nearly three years ago to the day that Timberlane senior Amy Green and the rest of her family went through a terrifying experience.

Older brother Jeff, who was a senior on the Owls' baseball team, suffered a fractured skull when he was struck in the temple by a line drive during pregame batting practice in Keene. He was flown to the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon where, for a few hours while in intensive care, there was concern about long-term damage.

Andover squeezes past Lowell

Meaghan McCarthy's RBI single in the bottom of the eighth squeezed Andover past Lowell, 3-2.

Katie McCarthy led off the inning by reaching base on an error. Jeanette Doucette laid down a bunt that was bobbled, allowing McCarthy to advance to third and Doucette to reach first safely. After an intentional walk to slugger Tricia Martin, Meaghan McCarthy ripped a single through the hole between first and second to drive home the winning run. Pitcher Kathleen Cheney totalled nine strikeouts for the Warriors.
