North Andover's Lauren Gaffny poured in four goals to lead North Andover to an 8-0 win over North Reading. Kathie Andrusin added three assists and Kristen Steigerwald and Candace Waldie chipped in scores for the Scarlet Knights, who remain unbeaten at 13-0.

Kelly Gibson netted two goals courtesy of two Margoaux Guercia assists to lead the Chieftains over North Reading 3-0.

Lauren Gaffny and Katie Boringa each scored twice to give North Andover a 6-0 drubbing of Hamilton-Wenham. Candace Waldie had a goal and an assist and Sarah Warden had the final goal for the Scarlet Knights.

Catherine Gross scored her six goal of the season five minutes into the second half to give Andover a 1-0 victory over Methuen. Brittany Isenhart added the assist, Nicole Gagnon and Kathleen Cheney stood out on defense and Tameka Geaslen made two outstanding saves for the Golden Warriors. For the Rangers, Irene Cassidy had 16 saves.

With the win, the flawless Knights qualified for the state tourney for the eighth straight year. Alison McCarthy posted her ninth shutout in the 10 games. Katie McKinney turned aside 15 shots in defeat.

NORTH ANDOVER | Senior forward Lauren Gaffny has a lot to offer both on and off the field hockey field.

She's co-captain of the unbeaten Scarlet Knights, ranked 28th in a class of 355 students and is senior class vice president.

Brooks and Phillips Academy battled to a 1-1 draw. Brooks (3-0-1) got a goal from Katie Herter off an assist from Kaleigh Fitzpatrick. Brooks center back Paige Murray (Andover) was another standout. Kelly Walsh scored the lone Big Blue (1-0-1) strike while goalie Shannon McSweeney was a force with 15 stops.

Lowell shutout Lawerence, 6-0. Lancers (0-7) goalie Melanie Batista made nine saves.
