Keliher carries Amesbury late

Cam Keliher scored a game-high 28 points to lead Amesbury to a 60-53 win over Georgetown Wednesday night.

The Royals (4-1) were leading 53-51 with around three minutes before senior tri-captain and stout defender Grant Lyon, who had a team-high 19 points at the time, fouled out. After that, Keliher scored the game's final nine points to lead the Indians (2-1) to their seconds straight win.

Whittier rallies past Georgetown

HAVERHILL — For just over six minutes, Thursday looked as if it was turning into a nightmare for Whittier Tech.

Plumb's five TDs leads Royals to rout

Through two games this fall, Anthony Plumb seems to be settling in quite nicely in his first year as starting quarterback for the Georgetown football team.

Friday night, the senior tossed four touchdown passes and rushed for another to lead the Royals to a convincing 44-8 victory over visiting Roxbury Prep. He finished his night 9-of-17 passing for 242 yards, and added another 39 yards on the ground on three carries.

Royals run out of steam in second half

Friday night, the Royals exploded for three touchdowns in the first quarter to take an eventual 27-6 halftime lead, but a strong Boston Latin team came roaring back after the break to earn a 36-27 season-opening win.
