Tyler Angle finished three strokes better than a quartet of golfers including teammate Kyle DelloRusso, easily leading unbeaten Pinkerton to a sweep of host Concord, Goffstown and Winnacunnet. Angle finished with a 4-over par 38 while DelloRusso carded a 41.

As part of a 2-under par 34 on his home Atkinson Country Club course, Justin Trodella garnered Timberlane's first eagle of the season as the Owls swept their second quad match in as many days. Trodella hammered his second shot on the par-5 sixth hole to within five feet of the pin then sank the putt that created his final score. Timberlane (156) defeated Manchester Central (174), Nashua South (183) and Winnacunnet (186).

Winnacunnet moved to 3-0 on the season with a 7-0 shutout of Londonderry. Freshman midfielder Jessica Fleet played well for the Lancers (0-2) as did linemates Devin Ingersoll and Jessica Harding.

Salem's Jeff Cohen shot a 3-under par 33 to lead Salem to a win in a quad match against Winnacunnet, Trinity and Londonderry. Ed Haroian even-par 36 at Scottish Highlands in Salem. Londonderry's top scorer was Matt Tobin's 41.

The Pinkerton softball team (15-5), which failed to even make the tournament last year, continued its turnaround season with a 5-0 win over Winnacunnet in the first round of the Class L tournament yesterday. Cara Chooljian led the way, striking out nine while scattering five hits and helping her own cause with a key two-run double.

Freshmen Sarah Frahm (3 for 5, two RBIs, two runs), Steph Long (2 for 4, two RBIs, one run) and Nicole Gubellini (one inning, two strikeouts) were pivotal in Salem's 13-1 drubbing of Winnacunnet. Gubellini pitched a clean ninth to help preserve the lead established by winning pitcher Nora Galvin, who struck out eight in just four innings.

Winnacunnet made a 4-1 first quarter lead stand up in an 8-5 victory over Timberlane. Ryan Rothwell had two goals and two assists in the setback while goalie Alex Desmarais' 12 saves kept things close for the Owls (6-3).
