Jaguars survive

Windham scored five runs in both the fourth and fifth before surviving Manchester Central's own five-spot in the seventh in a 14-11 victory. The Jaguars pounded 17 hits with Paul Armstrong providing three of them and Mason Rice, Cole Constantine, Keegan Park and John Haga each adding a pair. Windham stranded only four runners.

Furnari leads win

Nick Furnari scored team-highs in kills (22), aces (5) and digs (6) as Windham beat Salem 3-1 in a battle of New Hampshire powers. Blake Dempsey added 12 kills and three blocks for the winners.

Windham scored six runs in the first, added a crucial score in the third before fending off Exeter for a 7-5 win. Cole Constantine drove in a pair and earned the pitching victory with three innings of relief. John Haga delivered a key two-run double in the first. Mason Rice threw two and a third innings for the save.

Schoenenberger slams Windham

Sophomore shortstop Maddie Schoenenberger drilled a pair of homers including a grand slam and drove in five while scoring four times to lead Pinkerton to a 17-1 rout over Windham. Maddy Moore also had a solo homer among her three hits and catcher Maddy Moore drove in three. Paige Murray surrendered four hits while earning the win.

Windham won its eight straight volleyball match with a convincing three-set rout of Bishop Guertin as Nick Furnari had seven kills and delivered eight sevice aces. Headlining the Jaguars' dominating service performance was Braden Lord with 10 aces wile Kyle Gschwend had six along with 17 assists.

Packowski, Astros take first

Joe Packowski won the javelin (145-10) to lead Pinkerton to the team title (80 points) at the Kiwanis Freshman-Sophomore boys Meet. Astro Zack Smith added a win in the 400 (53.43). Earning second-place finishes were Salem's Nick Daigle in the high jump (5-3), Windham's Justin Leppanen in the 110 hurdles (18.53) and Pinkerton's Landon Mackiernan in the 300 hurdles (48.19) and Noah Daigle in the 3,200 (10:27.71).

Thomas takes title

Salem's Lily Thomas won the mile (5:36.13), one of three local champions at the Kiwanis Freshman-Sophomore girls Meet. Timberlane's Kiersten MacKeen took the high jump (4-10) and Windham's Kelly Wright took the javelin (92-3). Pinkerton's Contessa Silva was second in the 800 (2:28.68).

Cole Constantine threw a five-inning no-hitter, striking out seven and finishing one walk from a perfect game, as Windham beat Pelham 13-0. Adam Koza led the Jaguar offense with three hits and four RBIs. Mason Rice, Constantine and Keegan Parker each added two RBIs for the winners.

15-run fifth

Trailing by a run after four innings, Windham softball exploded for 14 runs in the fifth to beat Portsmouth 15-2. Freshman Kelly Wright was 3 for 4 with an RBI and two runs and was the winning pitcher, while classmate Ari DeCotis drove in three runs and scored two more and Ella Tower drove in two for the winners.

Wright, Jags shot Salem

Freshman Kelly Wright allowed just three hits and struck out seven in a complete game, as Windham shocked previously-unbeaten defending state champ Salem 2-1 on Friday. Ari DeCotis had two doubles and drove in a run and Kati Nolan added an RBI for the winners. Vania Moniz drove in Salem's lone run.
