Pythons strike again

Facing precious few challenges, Pelham easily dispatched of Windham, 9-0. In three pro sets, Matt Smith and Jared Taylor won 24 of 28 combined singles and doubles games for the Pythons. George Pidvysotski turned in a strong effort for the Jaguars at fourth singles.

Windham reversal

The first-year Windham wrestling team won its third varsity meet of the season, 43-36 over Campbell, a team it had lost to twice before this year. Jon Zygmont had a pin for Windham at 189.

Bogaczyk stars

Thanks to freshman Olivia Bogaczyk, the Pinkerton gymnastics team continues to roll even with standout Courtney Thompson on the sidelines with an injry. Bogaczyk won two events (with a PR score of 9.3 in the beam) and was the all-around winner as the Astros (17-0) defeated Salem and Pelham 130.25-124.35-105.20. Salem's Shireen Kirata was first in the vault and second in all-around.

Leah Jackson placed second in the all-around and won the vault as Londonderry placed second in a quad-meet. Windham, competing as an independent, got a second and a third from Lauren Massie.

Pelham takes two

Surviving some holes in its lineup, Pelham swept a wrestling tri-meet against Campbell and Windham. Mike Perruccio (135 pounds), Peter Soonthornprapuet (140) and Warren Greenhalgh (171) each had a pair of pins for the youthful Pythons (3-1). Dylan Swiderski's late pin at 119 was a highlight for Windham.

Two Pelham golfers broke 40 in a win over newcomer Windham. Jesse Vaiknoras shot a 38 while teammates Alex Nowton fired a 39. Windham's Chris Miller and Andrew Kalil led the way for the Jaguars with 42's.
