Bogaczyk stars

Thanks to freshman Olivia Bogaczyk, the Pinkerton gymnastics team continues to roll even with standout Courtney Thompson on the sidelines with an injry. Bogaczyk won two events (with a PR score of 9.3 in the beam) and was the all-around winner as the Astros (17-0) defeated Salem and Pelham 130.25-124.35-105.20. Salem's Shireen Kirata was first in the vault and second in all-around.

Shea doubles up

Caitlyn Shea had a pair of victories including a personal best in the 500 freestyle (5:25.56) as part of Salem's meet against Nashua North, Milford and Pelham. Shea also won the 200 IM while Jackie Mayo triumphed in the 200 freestyle and placed third in the 100 freestyle. Patricia Caiati placed in a pair of events for the Blue Devils (third in the 500 freestyle and fourth in the 200 IM).

Pythons win ugly

After a week's layoff and in the midst of mid-term exams, Pelham wasn't sharp but still extracted a 44-36 victory over Souhegan. Junior Mike Lombard (11 points and 9 rebounds) and senior Josh Boissonneault (12 boards) locked up the glass, holding Souhegan to one shot per trip and allowing a shaky Python offense to score enough to win.
