Andover's Rawson Iwanicki is really hitting his stride for the St. John's Prep wrestling team. After beating two ranked wrestlers last Saturday, the freshman 138-pounder defeated No. 3-rated Liam McAveny 7-3 Monday as the Prep won four times to improve to 23-0-1 on the year.

Read More »Owen Kamuda scored on a driving layup with three seconds left in regulation and Peter Cleary beat the buzzer on a 23-footer in OT as Pentucket beat Masconomet in a 60-58 thriller. Cleary had 20 points, Peter Lopata 15 and Sam Stys 11 for the Sachems. Jake Etter was hurt in the first quarter. Coach Ed Hickey said it could be a knee sprain and the early prognosis is he could be out 1-2 weeks.

Greater Lawrence got off to a solid start to the season in a six-team meet, winning twice and tying Tewksbury out of five meets. Aden Ranno (126)and Amauris Gomez (160) were both a perfect 5-0 on the day and Edward Pimental (182), Dominic Colon (195) and heavyweight Benedict Nouel were all 4-1.
