Triton wrestling won three out of four meets at Saturday's super-quad at Wakefield High, beating Saugus, Gloucester and Everett while falling to Wakefield. Anthony Ostrander led the way with three pins, including a first-round pin of Wakefield sectional finalist Jake Goodchild, and Jeremy Duford, Jared Durkin and Spiros Markopoulos all had three wins as well.

Liam Sheehy scored five goals and his football backfield mate Robert Porter made 10 saves as Pentucket bested Gloucester 8-2.

Georgetown won twice in a weather-shortened quad-meet at Gloucester to improve to 10-0. Josiah Krason (126) and John Blythe (152) both had a pair of pins and Ian Forgitano had a big 3-2 win over Mike Titus of Saugus at 113.

Rob Blythe got an escape with 13 seconds left to secure a 1-0 win at 138 to give Georgetown-Ipswich an exciting 39-36 win over Whittier in a quad-meet at Pentucket. Also key for G-I (now 7-0) was that Ian Forgitano, wrestling up at 120 pounds, got a late pin. Led by Shaun Mears at 170, Whittier wrestlers were unbeaten in the final five weight classes.

Haverhill's girls lacross team zoomed out to a 9-1 lead on its way to a 15-3 victory over Gloucester. Liz Brady led the way with five goals and Emily Schultz had three goals and two assists.

Georgetown improved to 10-3 with a quad-meet sweep over Everett, Saugus and Gloucester. John Blythe was 3-0 with three pins for the Royals and Josiah Krason, Carsten LaPlante, Mark Mansfield and Charlie Koshivas.

Michael Driscoll had a hat trick plus an assist as North Reading hockey beat Gloucester 4-1. Brian Cotter added three assists and Jared Valade had two.

The North Reading softball team fell victim to a first round upset yesterday as Gloucester pulled out a 3-1 win in eight innings. Taylor Connor scored the lone run for the Hornets in the first inning.

Surprising Georgetown won four more meets, the closest being 42-39 over Gloucester, to improve to 11-3. Constantine Galanis remained unbeaten (21-0) and had four pins on the day while Henry Gorrell also went 4-0. Among those going 3-0 were Matt and Mark Mansfield.
